Physiotherapy

I

What does physiotherapy involve?

During the first appointment I will spend time with you trying to establish why you have developed your problem. This involves talking to you (I do ask lots of questions!) and examining you. The examination is likely to involve looking at how you move, sit and stand plus testing any structures which could be contributing to your symptoms.

Sometimes this may mean we look at parts of your body away from the area you may be feeling the pain in. It will also involve feeling the affected areas for soreness, stiffness and tightness. After the examination I will try and explain my findings, reasoning and e you a diagnosis.

Together we can set some goals and put together a plan of treatment.
